Senior Software Engineer /Associate Technical Lead - Java

We are on the lookout for a tech geek who is passionate about product building and can lead talented teams to create next-gen software. The ideal candidate should have experience in R&D in building POCs.
Your role:
- Involve in the design and architecture of new software solutions
- Conduct R&D work to evaluate new technologies and tools that can be used to improve our software development processes and solutions
- Work on complex problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues
- Build POCs to validate the feasibility of new technology or solution approaches
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and quality assurance engineers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in Java development.
- Mentor and guide other developers when and as required
- Matching up to international standards of software development
- Become an ambassador of Villvay’s values when representing the company to its stakeholders
Required experience:
- Strong Java development expertise, including Spring, JPA & Maven
- Experience in building large-scale enterprise-grade applications
- 5+ years of experience in Java development. (2+ years for SSE)
- 1+ years of experience in a technical leadership role. (ATL only)
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and other related technologies
- Knowledgeable in communication paradigms like REST, GraphQL and TCP
- Solid SQL, relational data modelling and object-relational mapping & Strong software design skills
- A highly self-driven individual who takes pride in meeting goals
Added advantages:
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines on platforms like CircleCI, Jenkins
- Experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Work experience in a SPA stack (either React, Angular or Vue.js)
- Experience working with other programming languages like Python, Javascript(Node) or PHP
- Experience in building scalable, high-performance applications
- Knowledge of NoSQL or Graph databases
- Ability to effectively communicate with a client regarding technical specifications
