Role
- Act as the Product Owner for key projects, defining, refining and prioritizing the product backlog based on feedback to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Thoroughly understand the client requirements working alongside other key members of the client team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Manage client expectations and communicate effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a client even when the information is sensitive.
- Act as a point of escalation for client issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the overall project goals.
- Motivate and direct various teams to achieve project objectives.
- Actively participate in all aspects of the scrum process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure the team follows agile best practices and delivers high-quality solutions on time.
- Provide clear vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Possess a strong understanding of product management and its role in project success.
- Conduct thorough business analysis to understand and document business processes, requirements, and objectives.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in business processes and systems, proposing effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Ensure that solutions align with business goals and deliver measurable value.
- Conduct market analysis for e-commerce markets.
- Leverage your technical background to contribute to solution design, architecture, and problem-solving.
- Become an ambassador of Villvay’s values when representing the company to its stakeholders.
Core requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in business analysis, product management, solutions management or a similar role within the e-commerce or technology industry.
- Experience working with international clients.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
- Ability to simplify and creatively solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions, in response to challenges both in and out of your control.
- In-depth understanding of product management principles, including backlog prioritization, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience participating in all aspects of the Scrum process.
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with engineering, UI/UX, and business teams.
- Ability to understand, initiate, and implement processes whilst operating in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent command of the English language (Written and spoken).

- Business analysis certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)/ Project Management Institute - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)/ IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA-AAC).
- Google certifications such as Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate
